Our ESR Reza Gheybi presented his paper Correlation and Non-Orthogonality Figures of Merit of Beamforming Fields in eucap euraap 2023. He introduces new figures of merit to characterize the beam correlation and #non-#orthogonality of multiple beamforming fields produced by an #array #antenna or two distributed array antennas. By evaluating the figures of merit in two adjacently positioned array antennas consisting of 5 Franklin sub-arrays, it was shown that their #beamforming fields are uncorrelated in rich multipath environments but have high correlation in line-of-sight environments. Moreover, it was revealed that the beam non-orthogonality is high for the two array antennas in different directions of observation, but for the individual arrays, it is confined within the field of view of antennas.
